When you press the pump a rich light foam is dispensed. One pump is enough for the whole face. The foam makes it easier to pat in, ideal for people who dislike watery toners. It makes no mess. Upon application it melts into the face and gives both hydration and glow. It has a light fruity /flowery scent. It absorbs fast and for me no stickiness or tackiness. I quite enjoy this and also foam makes everything more fun.
