• Amazing product, great for the summer!

  I was lucky enough to be chosen as a tester for Reyena16 CICA Soothing Essence so today I would like to share my review of this product. I did receive this product for free from Reyena16 for testing and review purposes. 

  So first some key ingredients:
  🌿CICA (centella asiatica) to protect and soothe the skin
  🌿Zinc PDA to help hydrate and control sebum
  🌿Panthenol to balance and hydrate the skin.

  This is a gel type Essence, a consistency that is new to me for an essence for sure, I have used slightly thick essences before but certainly nothing like this gel. This product is recommended for those with sensitive, dry and/or dull skin and at the moment my skin definitely seems to be all of these... just check out the before pictures, but I really think this would work for all skintypes. Those of you in the Southwestern Ontario area will know the weather abruptly switched from frost warnings every night to a heat wave and I found this product was perfect for the switch to the summer weather. I love that the lightweight gel is so cooling on the skin and I find that the cooling sensation lasts for longer than just a few seconds. This product soaked in beautifully leaving my skin feeling very hydrated and looking so very healthy and glowing (check out my after picture). It really does soothe the skin and is perfect for the transition period between winter to spring/summer. I know I will be enjoying this all summer long. I used it after my regular toner and found is worked well layered with my other usual skincare products like my Serum and moisturizer as well as any makeup application. It does not have any real scent to it that I could detect  and diď not cause any irritation to my often sensitive skin. During the current mini heatwave we are having I have been putting this in my skincare fridge and it has been glorious!  I will definitely be purchasing this product once I use this one up!

  💕Firstly I love the packaging and the concept of product that gives of a dreamy nostalgic vibe/ starry night 🌌 💜🌸🌙 it’s just so pretty. 

  
  

  💕Secondly the texture is amazing, it’s a light gel texture that is translucent. It dissolves into my skin very nicely and gives me a lovely glow and hydration straight after applying. Does the hydration last throughout the day? Yes it does. It is very calming and soothing. Non tacky. My skin isn’t super dry so this has just been perfect for my skin type. 

  
  

  💕Thirdly the ingredients are amazing. Packed with cica that helps to soothe and protect. Zinc PCA that helps with Barnum control. Panthenol to help with balancing out the skins condition.

• My Holy Grail

  The product's packaging shouts "Sweet 16" with its dazzling pink color, taking me back to my childhood conception of what a sweet 16 party would look like. Others may think it's silly, but to me it seems like a desire to regress to my 16-year-old self. Additionally, it comes in a manageable squeeze-type bottle. 

  
  

  The product itself has a gel-like consistency, has a pleasant scent, and provides a cooling sensation both during and after use. Because the gel consistency dissolves into your face and gives a cooling, watery feeling, I adore this product so much. My face feels smooth, moisturized, and has a new appearance once it absorbs into my skin. This is a need, especially now that summer has arrived in the Philippines. Due of its excellent cooling, you may even use this to treat sunburn. You can still feel the substance after wiping it. For sensitive skin, dry, dull skin, and internal dryness, this is advised. • CICA Soothing Essence Review

  I received this product from Reyena16 event for review purposes. This is gel-type essence which is formulated with CICA that helps moisturise and soothe the skin without the stickiness. 

  
  

  Key ingredients:

  ✅ CICA - for skin protection with soothing effects

  ✅ Zinc PCA - for hydration and oil-control

  ✅ Panthenol - for skin balancing condition and hydration 

  
  

  How to use:

  ▷ Use after toning, apply a suitable amount to the face and softly pat until fully absorbed.

  
  

  Final thoughts:

  First of all, I love the colourful, sparkly packaging. I like that it’s in gel formula which is really good for combination skin type like me and the soothing components/properties is perfect for my sensitive skin as well. I didn’t get any untoward reaction using this product so I absolutely recommend this.

• Feels amazing on the skin!

  I received this product for free in return for my honest review. I really enjoyed testing this product out. I found the soothing essence very moisturizing and lightweight. I loved that it wasn’t sticky or heavy on my skin. I definitely will be using this product a lot!!
